2. Daily Humor: Hmm, the question was "if they have to pay for the product yourself, before getting the customers money?" which they don't. That comes after the sale. However, I agree with your point, can't play safe with fb ads. Even with an Instagram influencer, you'll need a lot of research before buying promos or you'll end up losing money.

17. Blaise R: +kfir for testing products you will need at least $300. Try using free Methods. Start getting some sales. Reinvest that money. I have started 2 stores from zero. I love it because then you are not limited by thought of losing your savings. Because not everyone can afford to invest $500. Or even $100 for that matter. So best start with zero. Put in the work. And don't watch videos on fb ads until and unless you make $1000+. Stay focused.

23. MA AS: volume ain't shit its all about profit margin, doing 10k a day with a 10 percent profit margin, i rather do 1k-2k with around %40 percent profit margin, less headache to deal with, less things can go wrong.
24. Blaise R: Yes. You can. And don't go with influencers if you are not 100% sure. Go for free traffic. But first do find your target audience. Also DM people( Secret- DM has a conversion rate of 2-4%) You need not buy a domain. After a few sales you cam always buy one. Tip - on the 14th day of shopify trial contact support and as them to extend your trail by another 10-14 days and they will surely do it.

27. Daily Humor: Posts are much more effective than stories. Also, don't waste money on million pages. That'll look tempting once the product starts working but let me tell you most of them have audiences that are completely burned out because they've been doing multiple promos daily for months or years. Been there done that and wasted a lot of money. Like Arie said go for influencer with 100k-500k followers. Easy on budget and you can scale it up reasonably until you can take it to facebook.

36. mikothepsycho: yes for sure. I started with $200. Just be careful on what you spend it on. DON’T buy a course until you start making a lot of money first.
37. Nikhil Raju: Do you buy each product, wait for 10-20 days to get it delivered. Then shoot a video on your iPhone or your expensive camera and advertise it on Facebook to test your product or you use an app to create the ad by finding videos and photos of the product from YouTube and Google? Both ways, you need to spend 5-10$ for 2 to 3 days on 10-20 products to just know which one gets the sales.I have seen people creating different ad sets on the same products. Because some ads work and others don't. Then spend more money on the product or that particular ad that gets the sale.. That's how it works. Not buying each product and make a video of it and advertise.. then you will spend more than you make. You will find pictures or videos of all products from your supplier or from search engines.

49. kevin lawson: +Daily Humor An owner of a Shopify store have to own an AliPay where you use your personal credit card information to order the product your customer paid for! You don't get access to the cash instantly mate. Unless all your customers are paying through Paypal which I doubt . 53. Blaise R: Yes. Also experience matters. You cant just learn FB ads. You need practice to test your knowledge. With luck you can even get away with $200-300, but a monthly budget of $500 is fine to start with.

Pyrounce: rahul pramanik best way is to let them create a short video of using the product, because follower and fans of the page are more likely to buy if they see that their „favorite“ influencer is using the product. Also when you have 5-8 video ads from different influencer you can cut them together, put in some text to every video section and start to use your own video content !

90. saad zaman: honestly at one point i had to keep a spreadsheet of all the influencers I had to DM because they weren't replying back. But DM as many pages as you can and use phlanx.com to see their engagement % so you know if the page is legit or not. Stay patient and good luck!

97. doomie: If you're looking to create solid videos, it's a learning curve, even when purchasing a premium product like Animoto ($45/month or $315/yr), or Camtasia Studio ($315 licensed version). Make sure you do your research on them before purchasing. Don't expect it to do everything for you, you'll still need to know how to capture and edit clips to make your own advertisement, which is easier said than done.

You always gotta be willing to lose some money. You can't play it safe while testing product especially with Fb ads. If you start with less than $500 my friend there is 99% of chance for you to close your store within a month trust me!!! Good luck tho
